Frequently asked questions

  • What kinds of projects do you take on?
I work across music, podcasts, live sound, and broadcast. Whether you need a mix for your next single, editing for your podcast, or sound supervision for TV and radio, I can help.

  • Do you only work in Dublin?
I’m based in Dublin but regularly travel across Ireland for projects. I also offer remote services, so you can send me your tracks or podcast files from anywhere.

  • Can I send you my music or podcast to be mixed remotely?
Yes — remote work is a big part of what I do. Send me your files, and I’ll deliver a polished, professional mix ready for release or broadcast.

  • How should I prepare my tracks before sending them to you for mixing?
Export your stems as separate audio files, make sure they’re clearly labelled, and remove any unnecessary effects unless they’re intentional. I can guide you through the process if needed.

  • I’ve never worked with a sound engineer before — how does it work?
No problem! We’ll start with a chat about your project and what you’re hoping to achieve. Then you can either send me your files to mix remotely or I can join you on-site. I’ll keep you updated at every stage.

  • Can you make my podcast sound more professional?
Definitely. I’ll clean up the recordings, balance voices, remove unwanted noise, and make sure your podcast is consistent and clear from episode to episode.

  • Do you only work with professional musicians and broadcasters?
Not at all — I work with everyone from first-time podcasters and independent musicians to established artists, radio stations, and TV broadcasters.

  • How long does it take to mix a song or podcast episode?
It depends on the complexity of the project, but a single song mix usually takes 1–2 days, and a podcast episode can often be turned around within 24–48 hours.

  • What happens if I want changes after the first mix?
Revisions are a normal part of the process. I’ll provide you with a mix, you can give feedback, and we’ll make adjustments until you’re happy with the final result.

  • Do I need to be in the studio with you while you mix?
Not at all. Many clients send me their files to mix remotely. I’ll share mixes for feedback online, so you’re always part of the process even if you’re not in the room.

  • How much does it cost to hire a sound engineer or mixing engineer?
Costs vary depending on the project. Once I know what you need — whether it’s a single song, an album, a podcast, or a live broadcast — I’ll give you a clear, tailored quote.
